Breathtaking Kashmir 8 Nights/9 Days

Day 1: Arrival in Katra

Upon arrival at Jammu Railway station/airport, board your vehicle and drive to Katra. Check-in at the hotel. Enjoy rest of the day at your leisure. Dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Trip to Vaishnodevi

After breakfast, trek up to the Vaishnodevi shrine for darshan. The shrine is approachable on foot or on ponies along a 13-km well-laid footpath. Return to Katra for dinner and overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 3: Drive from Katra to Patnitop | Sightseeing in Patnitop

After breakfast, go to Patnitop. Visit Sanasar (17 km), a cup-shaped meadow surrounded by gigantic conifers. The meadow has now been developed as a golf course. It also provides opportunities for paragliding. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Day 4: Drive from Patnitop to Pahalgam | Sightseeing in Pahalgam

After breakfast, proceed to Pahalgam, also called the Valley of Shepherds. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. In Pahalgam, admire the beauty of nature as you walk along the banks of River Lidder. Pahalgam is also famous for some trekking routes and is the base camp for the Amarnath Pilgrimage. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 5: Day at leisure in Pahalgam

You may spend the day exploring Pahalgam. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 6: Drive from Pahalgam to Gulmarg | Sightseeing in Gulmarg

After breakfast, transfer to Gulmarg, the Meadow of Flowers. Gulmarg is a famous ski resort and has the world’s highest 18-hole golf course. Enjoy the scenic view of Kongdori in a gondola (on direct payment). Later, walk up to the Church and the Golf Club of Gulmarg. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 7: Drive from Gulmarg to Srinagar | Sightseeing in Srinagar

After breakfast, proceed to Srinagar. Check-in at the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a 2-hour boat ride on the Dal Lake in a shikara. Savour the scenic beauty of Kashmir as you see city life around the lake. Visit the local crafts market and see finely carved articles of papier mache and wood. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 8: Sightseeing in Srinagar

After breakfast, you will visit Mogul Garden Nishat (The Garden of Pleasure) and Shalimar (Abode of All). Drive along the Lake side on Boulevard. On your way back, visit a local Handicrafts Emporium for hand-knotted silk carpets and shawls as well as ornaments. After lunch, go to Shankaracharya Temple. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 9: Departure

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your return journey.
